Alexis
I have been working with the Chambersburg Animal Hospital since 1994 as a Veterinary Assistant. I currently have 4 pets: a parakeet named "Beaker", a cat named "Dale" that I rescued from the side of the road, and 2 Shelties "Murphy" and "Mandy". Poor "Mandy" is a rescue dog who was living in a cage at a puppy mill, used as a breeding dog for the first five years of her life. She is now a spoiled, pampered dog who has no cares in the world. In my spare time, I like to go antiquing, making jewelry and working out.

I have been a Veterinary Assistant at Chambersburg Animal Hospital since 2004. In 2003 I became cerfified through the Veterinary Assistant program at Hagerstown Community College. I currently own 1 dog "Colby" who is really my first born child (I even have his paw print as a tattoo), 3 cats: "Lil Liz" who I inherited from a friend who passed and that named the cat after me, "Pig Pen" my bottle baby that I saved after his mother died when he was only 4 weeks old, and "Isis", a Sphynx who I can't imagine living without! I also have "JR" a Blue and Gold Macaw who will outlive me, a Leopard Gecko "Diamond", 2 goldfish "Hoops" and "Yoyo", and 4 Alpacas "Wacky", "Olympia", "Beachwood", and "Aura". In my spare time, I like to read, scrapbook, work out at Results, raise seahorses and ride my motorcycle.

I have always had an interest in animals. I received my bachelor's degree from Wilson College, here in Chambersburg, in 2007. "Mosley" an 8 year old rescue, and "Abby" (aka Crabby Patty) who is 5 years old. I also have 2 gerbils, hermit crabs, a beta fish , a turtle named "Tito", and a crazy talking parakeet named "PJ". In my spare time I love to facebook, watch movies, and read books.

I started as a Receptionist at a local animal hospital in 2009. In June 2010, I started working at Chambersburg Animal Hosptial. I have two puppy mill rescue dogs that came from Better Days Animal League. Cappuccino is a white toy poodle who was super shy and would not allow you to touch her. Cappuccino now loves to be brushed, enjoys walks and relaxing with Reginald. Reginald is a Bichon Frise who is fearful of people. While working with him we learned that he loves diving into the snow and getting covered in it. He is slowly learning that not all people are bad and will take treats from your hand. He now allows you to pet the top of his head and snuggles in bed. Cappuccino and Reggie share residences with my mom's dogs Remington (Maltese Shih Tzu mix), Latte (Maltese) and Derringer (Maltese) bopping from my home to her home since we live only a few houses from each other. I also enjoy reading, crafting and playing in a community band.

After attending Penn State University, I owned and operated Leeway Stable. I've worked at Chambersburg Animal Hospital since 1989 as a Veterinary Assistant. Although I love all animals, horses are my first love. I have "tons" of cats. Many came to me through the hospital. I also have a Jack Russell "Pyewacket". I enjoy reading, antiquing, going to museums, horse shows and events. I am a longtime supporter of the World Wildlife Fund and the Smithsonian.

I joined the team as Hospital Manager in November 2010. Prior to that I worked for a veterinary network in Maryland. I have been in the fields of Finance and Administration since graduation from Penn State University. I have been lucky enough to be able to work with two of the things I love, management and animals. I have a wonderful family consisting of my Husband, two boys, and 3 fur children, all Labrador Retrievers (one of each color of course). I am an active member of The Labrador Retriever Club of the Potomac and club historian. In my spare time, I enjoy the crazy world of confirmation dog showing.
